DoubleD’s (Dyke Distribution) is a collective of lesbian artists and designers who self-publish. Founded in 2025, this growing international network addresses the ongoing lack of visibility, support, and resources for Dykes in art publishing. While many dyke publishers are short-lived and digital-only, DD’s unites experienced creators to sustain and grow the presence of printed Dyke publications. Kristen Welles Bartley, Sara Duell, and Jeanette Spicer And who else participates in DoubleDs? Emma Banks, Deborah Bright, Sophie Chalk, Naima Green, HH Hiaasen, Sara Hinterlong, Sara Kaaman, Mitra Kaboli, Joanna Pittari, Tray Tsui, and WMN–Lesbian Art and Poetry. Do you need to identify as lesbian to participate? Yes. If your sexual identity expands beyond "Lesbian" or "Dyke" but includes either, you are welcome to participate. One's sexual preference is personal, so we assume that anyone participating in DoubleD's is aware that we are a Lesbian Collective. What materials do we include on tables: Primarily books, zines, prints, stickers!  If I make other things than printed matter, can I submit those as well? Yes, we welcome small scale artistic works for sale. However, to maintain a 75% printed matter ratio on our tables they might not be able to be included in each fair. This decision is made by the curators (Kristen, Sara and Jeanette) How do I submit my work? Send us high-res images and a description of the work for sale. You need to have a minimum edition size of 10 to submit. If I’m included, how do I drop off my work? You drop off your work in person or send it to our addresses in Ridgewood or Sunset Park NY. Addresses will be sent with the acceptance email.  Basic guidelines for submissions We accept printed matter (books, zines, prints) and artworks. If accepted you will need to send 10 copies of each piece. If your work sells out, we'll contact you about restocking. Does it cost to participate? There is no fee to share your work, but 25% of each sale goes toward DoubleD’s. This fee helps cover table fees and overall fair costs (transportation / lodging), marketing materials, storage, etc. Please consider this when pricing your items. How am I paid when work sells? Payments of work sold are sent within one week of the conclusion of each fair via Zelle, PayPal or Venmo minus the 25% contribution to the DoubleD’s collective and any fees by the thrid party payment system. The 25% contribution is waived for members that contribute to fair tabling and production. What is the benefit of tabling? One gets to know other DoubleD’s collaborators, fair vendors and the wider audience at fairs to directly promote your work. You also keep 100% of the profits of the sales you make on your items. What does tabling entail? Tabling usually means helping set up and break down the table, talking with fairgoers about the artwork, Double D's mission, and handling sales, including keeping track of sales and inventory. Not everyone enjoys being front and center, and that's okay. You can also contribute by transporting materials, helping with promotion, or, for out-of-town fairs, offering lodging, hosting an artist dinner, or organizing a networking event or workshop.
